Stain removal success can vary. Accidents come in many different forms, for example liquid spills may contain any number of chemicals that affect the fabric or fibre that it contacts with.
Don’t panic, we can fix it!
If you have an accident or spill, here’s what to do:
- Don’t delay. If the stain dries out it will may leave a permanent spot.
- Carefully scoop up the excess solids with knife or spoon without scrubbing or rubbing any more of the spill into the carpet or fabric
- Using a damp white absorbant cloth (preferably cotton towelling) dab the area and soak up any excess liquid
- With warm water and a dash of mild dishwashing liquid (1:50) douse the stain and dab up excess moisture with the cotton cloth
- Keep using a clean dry section of the cloth pressing down on the stain to remove as much of the water as possible
- If the stain is disappearing, use a recommened carpet or fabric shampoo, follow the instructions and remove shampoo the area
- Dry the carpet or fabric with a clean cloth by dabbing on the spill not scrubbing. (scrubbing will force the stain into the fibres and reduce success)
- If you are unable to remove the stain, call Noosa Carpet Cleaning
- Meanwhile, place a damp cloth over the stain and keep it from drying out until a NCC carpet technician arrives
