Risks with cleaning micro-fiber:
Micro-fibre is highly absorbent and therefore should not be exposed to excessive moisture during cleaning as mildew could be a problem if drying is too slow and/or the item(s) is not exposed to good airflow after cleaning. It is also a unique fabric that is formed using glues which can be affected by solvent based cleaning chemicals, so dry cleaning with solvent based solutions should be avoided.
Due to there being micro fine “fibres” over the surface, these fibres must be reset after cleaning using a second stage buffing process. Failure to do this can leave the upholstery looking tired, flat and old, rather than bright, clean and fresh, as you should expect from professional cleaning.
