Fabric and Carpet Protection Considerations
For furniture upholstery, we use and recommend solvent based protectants and advise that the fabric, IF NOT NEW, should be professionally cleaned prior to prevent soil being locked-in when applying the protector
Same goes for carpets, although we prefer the water based protector which can be applied directly after professional steam cleaning. There are no changes to the appearance of carpets or fabrics and the protector begins working as soon as it dries.
Dry times are dependent on the weight and density of carpet being treated, but generally it takes about 2-3hrs for drying to be completed, in Queensland at least. We can speed dry the carpet where needed to allow earlier access by the customer.
